RCQ dinner meeting 
Monday 24 July 2023, dinner meeting.
 
Rotary Club of Queenstown, Singapore members were given an update on the life at the Eldercare & Caregivers Centre by Daryl Toh, FRCS Eldercare & Caregivers Centre Manager.
 
This is a division of Foundation of Rotary Clubs Singapore (FRCS) which offers physical space, custom-fit for the elderly and their cargivers in Bukit Batok West Avenue 5.

Rotary Club of Queenstown, Singapore members were privileged to have two speaker programmes on the same day.
 
6pm to 7pm: Macro Economic Outlook and Investment
Speakers: Ong Soo Ling & Johan Martin of Banque Pictet & Cie (Asia) Ltd.
 
The interest on investment information and knowledge from members was electrifying with questions exchanged and thoughtful pondering on words of wisdom given by the finance gurus.
 
7.15pm to 8pm: "Help us Change Lives"
Speakers: Robert Epstone and Sarah Chapman
The charity based in Bali, Indonesia ensures access to patient-centered health services for individuals facing physical and mental health challenges.

Nurses Day_appreciation with flowers
Monday, 31 July 2023 a call to show appreciation for our Singhealth Group of nurses was made by Rtn Dr Anthony Tang. 
 
This is People of Action! Without any hesitation RCQ members signed up to be ready at 9.15am from SGH, to present flowers to our nurses who have worked tirelessly and with total dedication.

Young and mature enthusiastically trounce the tennis ball. Keeping fit and having fun! Thank you PP Pok Zin for organising the tennis.
 
PP Hans Jaeger, in Switzerland has his heart always for Rotary.  While visiting RC Arosa, Switzerland, the club was fund raising through having a duck race. 
 
The 1st District 3310 Joint Presidents Meeting (JPM) took place on Friday, 4 August 2023 at FRCS, Peninsula Plaza.

Six AGs get together!
Rotaract Club_Singapore Polytechnic
Rotary Club of Queenstown's Rotaract club, Singapore Polytechnic won the bid to host the "Ease Well" workshop. 
 
President of Rotaract Club, Singapore Polytechnic, Esther Chong designed a mental health game called "Mentalopoly"

Guest speaker for RCQ dinner meeting will be Akash Mohapatra, Chair of the Mental Health Film Festival (Singapore)
 
Akash has over 25 years experience in the financial services industry and is currently a Managing Director and heads an APAC legal team at a leading German bank.
He is deeply engrained in community and social causes and in addition to his legal responsibilities, leads CSR at his organisation for Singapore.
Akash is also an ardent champion for mental health causes. He leads the Mental Health employee support group at the bank, is a Mental Health Aider trained in Suicide intervention LIFE training and works closely with a number of mental health initiatives in the community.
Akash enjoys the outdoors and recently completed a 10 days trek in the Himalayas.
 
Do attend the meeting at the Tanglin Club.
