Rotary Club of Queenstown meeting
Monday 13 March 2023, RCQ members gave an update on upcoming events with PP Hans Jaeger announcing that our sister club members; Pres Etty, PP Julia, PP Yessi and Rtn Eka from RC Bandung Kota Kembang will be flying into Singapore on 27 March especially to renew the sister club agreement with RCQ.

PP Hans also gave an update on RCQ's donation to one of the villages in Indonesia where victims of the West Java's, Bandung area saw 603 people killed in the earthquake which also damaged more than 53,000 homes, schools, offices and places of worship on 21 November 2022.

The priority was to restore safe drinking water and sanitary installations (toilets}.

This is certainly a reminder of how Rotary International began in 1907 when the Rotary Club of Chicago, under the leadership of Rotary International Founder Paul Percy Harris, initiated the first Rotary public service project: creating a public comfort station (also known as a public toilet).
